Overview

We are a 100% Hawaiian Owned Business. 20+ Years in the industry. We do surf lessons at the Famous Waikiki Beach where the waves are perfect for both beginner and advance surfers from kids to adults. We guarantee to get you surfing some fun and exciting waves. If you are feeling nervous, then we will make sure to start with gentle waves. Safety and having an enjoyable experience are main priorities.

Our surf instructors are born and raised in Hawaii with 20+ years of surfing experience. Surf Instructors are lifeguard and CPR certified through American Redcross and licensed through the State of Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources.

Requirements:
-Must be able to swim.
-12 years old and under must do a private lesson.

We took surf lessons with Ron, and he is incredible, certified, and an absolute pro. He knows the best spots for the best waves at the beach and has so much knowledge about the water, island, and surfing. Tip for any traveler is to support the local, Hawaiian businesses out here. The island is sadly overtaken by large corporate vendors, so please give back and care for what is left of the local community. Surf in the City is a 100% Hawaiian owned business, and going with them for lessons meant we had lifelong islanders with knowledge of the water and island with us as we waited for that next wave. Ron sent us videos and pictures afterward, and we saw a few turtles in the water during our lesson too which was the cherry on top. An absolute blast! Would recommend 10/10 if you’re ever hitting up Waikiki beach. They also have umbrellas and other rentals too. Go with Surf in the City y’all.

We had a small group lesson with 3 people for 1.5 hours. It was phenomenal. We had two instructors that were very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I highly recommend using this service if you’re interested in learning to surf. All three of us were catching waves. This was the first time surfing for all of us. Ages ranged from 30 to 48.

Perfectly paced for a first time. Ron could quickly tell our skill level and provided great instruction. We all stood on our first attempt. Highly recommend!
