Overview

For a taste of the Last Frontier join us on our private Day Mush where you'll have the opportunity to meet the dogs and experience their excitement as they power down the trail. This is an interactive tour that includes handling of the huskies and teaching our guests how to harness and hook up a team. Once our teams are ready, we mush among snow capped black spruce that takes us along Yukon Quest 1,000-mile trail. At the halfway mark we stop to let the dogs roll around in the deep snow and let our guests grab beautiful arctic landscape photo ops with their fellow adventurers. Return back to our Mongolian yurt to warm up from the trail and and get an opportunity to purchase souvenirs to remember out your adventure.

Tucked away in the Alaska wilderness is the Last Frontier Mushing Co-op. We had a blast with the tour and the guides were knowledgeable, considerate and truly made this an exciting outing. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking a dog sledding adventure!

If you are wanting to do a dog mushing day in the Fairbanks area, I and my family highly recommend Last Frontier Mushing Co-op. The dogs were great with adults and kids. Both guides, Laura and Chase, did a phenomenal job. Laura and Chase looked at our gear we had on an highly suggested to wear other boots that they had, to be sure to stay warm. Glad they did now that we understand what they were saying. Kids enjoyed it so much we thought hard about booking this one more time before we leave.

Seeing the dogs and their ability is amazing. The ride is a great experience through nature - it would be even more enjoyable if the trail was smoother. The extremely bumpy ride took some of the fun out.
