My husband and I used Cara's guide services for a private full-day hike in the Yellowstone area. We really wanted to go on a hike with someone more experienced than us, especially as this was our first time hiking in bear country. Cara certainly delivered. Once we made our initial inquiry, Cara reached out to learn more about our desires so she could tailor our experience. She picked us up from our lodging in Cooke City, and our initial plans were to experience a hike off the Beartooth Highway so we could enjoy hiking near an alpine lake and hopefully see pika. However, we pivoted our plans as my husband was having problems with the high altitude (~9,000 feet.) Cara quickly pivoted, and we enjoyed a different hike along a different lake at a lower altitude. Not only was Cara personable, she also put us at ease about hiking in bear country. We all had bear spray, and her safety talk about what we should do if we encounter a bear was thorough and reassuring. We did not encounter any bear (thankfully) but did see signs of moose. I enjoyed hearing all kinds of birds, and the antics of the squirrels. A highlight of our hike was watching pika. I know that we'll be repeat customers of In Our Nature Guiding Services.

Under a beautiful sun and extreme cold (-18°C), we spent 3 great days with Hannah. Hyper competent, because having worked for 5 years for the Yellowstone Park, she has a "fearsome eye" for spotting animals. But beyond his skills, we particularly appreciated his sympathy and dynamism. Do not hesitate to contact her.
