Went out for a coastal fishing trip this past August with my wife, my buddy and his girlfriend and we had a blast! My buddy and I are avid fishermen but have never fished out of San Diego before and Shaun shared a wealth of information with us AND put us on the fish! We went on the 6 hour coastal trip and Shaun delivered an amazing experience and we loaded up the cooler with a constant bite of rockfish and almost a dozen other species. Shaun was at the dock early and brought us back late. He baited hooks for my wife & buddy's girlfriend and took their fish off. The boat is in tip top shape, and all 37 fish we kept were fileted and on ice when we got back to the dock as well. Shaun is also super friendly and makes sure that YOU are the one who is catching the fish. All four of us had a great time and we're looking forward to heading out with Shaun down to the Coronado Islands to chase Yellowtail next time. I've been on many fishing charters, literally around the world, and Captain Shaun and Pelican Sportfishing are tops. Thanks Shaun!

I’ve taken a few charters in my lifetime and they’ve either been hit or miss (mostly miss). Shaun was exceptional! He provided water and snacks for the day. He got me on the fish quickly, allowed me to do actual fishing unlike others who cast for you and reel in for you (I mean, what’s the point, right?). I’m an experienced fisherman (woman, lol) so it was nice to feel like I was just out on a buddy’s boat for the morning. I caught at least 5-6 different species and had a great time. Also, the boat was very well kept. I highly recommend Pelican and Shaun. The price is more than fair and the fishing was great! I’ll be back for sure! Tight lines!

My son was stationed in San Diego and got the good news he got accepted in the Naval academy. I wanted to do something special for him and his mates, so I contacted Pelican Sportfishing. To say the least, the boys could not stop talking about the great time they head and Facebook was FULL of pictures from the great catch. The kids maxed out on everything they wanted and proceeded to go to a friend’s house for a fish BBQ that apparently was quite the party. The kids loved the boat, the captain and everyone involved. I'm planning another trip with Pelican to go with the boys in 2020 when my kid gets summer break. GOOO Navey Thanks Pelican
