Private Half-Day tour to Bonneville Salt Flats

Overview
*Start times and Pickup locations are decided by traveler*

**Salt Flats frequently covered in water between November & April.**

No one will probably ever beat the land speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats (763 mph), but that doesn't mean we cannot still go fast! This tour will take you and your party on to the famous track where so many land speed records have been set and broken. While we won't even get close to the records speed, for those who desire it, we give them their own racing experience (often hitting speeds of 120...yes it's perfectly safe).

Whether you enjoy fast speeds or not, the Salt Flats west of Salt Lake City are an incredible destination that everyone must see if given the chance! Our guides will help you and your part create fun and meaningful photos for you to remember your trip by (see attached photos).

We hope you enjoy our time with us!

Metaphor - Tree of Utah
Metaphor - The Tree of Utah, sometimes called the Tree of Life, is an 87-foot-tall sculpture that was created by the Swedish artist Karl Momen in the 1980s and dedicated in 1986. The sculpture, which is constructed mainly of concrete, consists of a squarish 'trunk' holding up six spheres that are coated with natural rock and minerals native to Utah. There are also several hollow sphere segments on the ground around the base. The sculpture currently has a fence surrounding the base to protect people from falling tiles. Inscribed on the plaque are the words from Ode to Joy by Friedrich Schiller; also used as the chorus of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. It has been said that Momen was moved to create the 87-foot-tall (27 m) tree after having a vision of a tree while driving across the desolate Bonneville Salt Flats. Following the dedication of this work of art, Momen donated the sculpture to the State of Utah and returned to Sweden.

Shawn was outstanding, from texting us two weeks prior to our tour to reconfirm as we books about 2-3 months prior, this was reassuring. He adjusted pick up to our hotel and was flexible with pick up time and communicated. He was authentic, knowledgeable and attentive to what we wanted to accomplish on the tour. Riding on the salt flats provided a different perspective and sun set was great! He is a music junkie and so is my husband, allowed for pleasurable conversation during our drive. Such a wonderful tour! Would highly recommend!

Really cool place quite unique; motorbike event helped to make it more interesting ; our guide Sean was informative and personable and looked after us without being too imposing. Maybe would have been nice to receive confirmation the previous day without us having to instigate, otherwise do not hesitate to do this trip.

Thank you for your review. The scheduling for the Salt Flats is not always easy to find, however, on further investigation we were able to find a schedule that did list the Motorcycle Trials happening during that time. We are glad you enjoyed your time, and will do better at informing our guests of any upcoming events on the Flats in the future.
