Private Helicopter Flight Lesson from Westchester

Overview
Experience the thrill of flying around the Hudson Valley with this helicopter flight lesson from Westchester Airport in White Plains, NY. Start with ground instruction to learn about basic flying technique and safety and then take to the air during an approximately 30- or 60-minute private lesson.

One student will be allowed access to the controls under the supervision of a certified flight instructor. While airborne, you will enjoy breathtaking views and try your hand at basic maneuvers (turning, climbing, descending, etc.)

In the Robinson R44 Raven II helicopter you have the option to invite an additional passenger/observer to ride along with you (subject to weight limitations). Please note: the observer does not fly the helicopter. Flying lessons are not permitted in NYC airspace. No prior flying experience needed.

I bought a groupon for my boyfriends birthday, the pilot instructor was very personable and put us at ease throughout the whole thing. He was very helpful and patient with my boyfriend while flying and helped him calm down and take over the flight. It was definitely a fantastic experience.

Recently my business partner and myself won an auction item at a local nonprofit. It was for an hour lesson and flight. I decided to sit back in the passenger seat and enjoy the view as my friend took the controls of the helicopter. Anthony was the pilot/instructor and he has patience beyond any mere mortal. We purchased an extra half hour of flying time and covered a lot of territory. The fall foliage was amazing from Long Island Sound up to Bear Mountain and West Point down the Hudson River over the Tappan Zee Bridge and returning back to Westchester Airport safe and sound. This is a great trip and recommend it highly..
