Overview

This 2 hour Private Sunset Sail, the Captain will take you (and up to 6 people) to Port Royal Sound (North side of island - generally best conditions for sailing). During Sunset, This is generally still pretty breezy with some good sailing. Perfect way to wind down and enjoy the ending of a great day. We will take the sails down to peacefully enjoy the beautiful show of an amazing Hilton Head Sunset. After the sun sets, we motor back to the marina and usually dock right around last light for the day. Sunset tours are usually full of wildlife such as dolphins, birds, sting ray and manatee which are some of the great wildlife that are often very prevalent in the evening. You will also have some great scenic views of Hilton Head, Pickney island and Parris island to mention a few.
All of our sail trips we encourage our guests to be as involved in the sailing process as they would like. If you would instead like a relaxing trip, we then encourage you to relax and let the crew do the work.

Family of four with two teens enjoyed this sunset sail. Captain Paul and First Mate David were fun and informative. We felt safe with them at the helm. They taught us about the area and marine animals along our journey and even let us pull the ropes for the sails. They adapted well to our interests and provided a very enjoyable afternoon ensuring our comfort. Highly recommend this company to take you and your friends and family on to the water.

This was absolutely beautiful and wonderful. Denise and I had an extremely relaxing & informative 2 hours. If it was 10 Stars, we would give it that. Captain Paul & First Mate Dave were extremely helpful and informative. Found out that Captain Paul came from the Kansas City Area, which shows just how small the world really is. We got to experience actual sailing in a smaller craft than a cruise ship. The sailboat, was extremely clean. We saw dolphins, manta rays, and learned about the research projects on great white sharks in Hilton Head. Last but definitely not least, we saw one of the prettiest sunsets we have ever seen. All in all it was a fantastic way to finish our first trip to Hilton Head.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE!! Captain Paul and First Mate Dave were great! We sailed with two other couples, all friends and had a wonderful time. Captain Paul explained many things about sailing, Hilton Head Island, Port Royal Sound and much more! The scenery was beautiful and the sailing was very peaceful. We brought some white wine and enjoyed the evening immensely. Cannot recommend Anchors Away Sailing enough. 5 plus stars. Thank you!
