Our tour guide Jessica, was knowledgeable, humorous and a Hawaiian native with a passion for her home state. She took us through towns and villages regaling us with anecdotes, history, ecology and the resurgence of indigenous culture. The time flew by. We went to the blow hole, Turtle beach, saw macadamia nut, coffee, and banana plantations. But most of all we enjoyed the magnificent forest scenery. The tour included lunch and we stopped at a food truck "plaza" we opted for lunch at Seven Brothers. The fresh ahi tuna plate with rice and salad was excellent as was the Shem hamburger. Fresh, delicious, and well priced. The tour was completely customized so we could see Hawaiian life...not your typical tour.
