The John Wilkes Booth Tour with Tom was indescribable. He gave us the feel that we were right there with Booth making the escape. Words of description could not paint the incredible day Tom gave us. Mother nature was against us with rain but Tom's narration made the day sunny and dry as he went above and beyond giving detailed information with insights that no book or books could have told us. If your looking for a tour beyond tours, check out DC Military Tours with Tom. From the comfort of his transportation to the one-on-one service. You will not be disappointed.

The tour of Booth's escape route is a day-long immersion into the details of a historical episode that is largely ignored today. Not only was I interested in retracing the route on the ground for myself but I wanted my family members (4, including two grandchildren, ages 19 and 21) to get a firsthand appreciation of the Lincoln assassination conspiracy to which they'd had only superficial academic exposure. It worked--the tour held their attention and they were fascinated by the history to which they were exposed. Tom Schulz not only knows the history in detail but is gifted in telling the story and answering the questions. I was not a newcomer to the story of Lincoln's assassination or Booth's escape but I learned things from this tour that I did not know before, and visited sites that I did not know still existed. Tom's a congenial companion and instructor for a day-long trip and I might just have to take the tour again!

Scotty, Thank you for sharing your family with me on a wonderful day along the escape route. I say your sons and grandchildren had more than ‘superficial’ exposure to the history of the events which provided me with an enhanced baseline that led to a more in-depth experience. Let’s plan on another trip soon. Tom

What a fantastic day! Tom's friendliness and expert knowledge combined to make a day to remember forever. We were three social studies teachers and two teenagers. Everyone had a terrific time. The history, the pacing, and the personal interaction made for a very compelling experience. We talked about the day over dinner and on the ride home the next day. Really … Tom, we can't thank you enough. But … Thanks Again!

A dream come true for me as well: three high school Social Studies teachers in one group. Please keep in touch if you need Lincoln Assassination materials for your curricula back home in New York. Best wishes and I hope to see you all again. - Tom
