What To Expect

Looe Key (Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary)

Looe Key Marine Sanctuary is part of the Great Florida Reef, the only coral reef in the continental USA, and the third largest barrier reef system after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, and the Palancar Reef in Mexico and Belize. It is a special place for snorkeling. Your captain will snorkel along with you assuring your safety–though there is nothing to worry about. All of our tours are accompanied by fair weather, calm conditions, and friendly creatures. The captain will lead the way through this groove and spur seascape to reveal barracuda, rays, shark, parrotfish, blue tang to name a few. Looe Key promises to be an experience of a lifetime, and one that you will not soon forget.

Snorkeling! Water was rough so we left Looe Key and snorkeled somewhere else which was perfect. A nice day with Keys Boat Tours

My wife and I had a wonderful snorkeling tour of Loos Key with Captain Brian. He was prompt meeting us at the dock and very friendly throughout the tour. His boat was well maintained. He spent time asking us what we wanted from the tour before heading out. He really knows the reef at Loos Key and the Keys in general. We were impressed by his responsibility as a tour guide to care for the nature preserve. He swam with us so we could get the most out of the area and took underwater photos which made a fun souvenir of the trip. Loos Key is a living reef replete with all kinds of different fish to observe. We strongly recommend Captain Brian and Key Boat Tours.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our boating and snorkel experience with Captain Brian. His knowledge of Looe Key and the reef was communicated well. And our 2 snorkel swims & boat ride were far superior to other snorkel boat trips that I've taken in the past.
