What To Expect
1
Flagstaff
From the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, our route takes us through the Sonoran Desert up past the picturesque mountain town of Flagstaff. This historic Route 66 town lies at the base of the largest mountain range in Arizona, the San Francisco Peaks, which we will be able to gaze upon as we continue to travel north to the Lake Powell region.
2
Navajo Trail Trading Post
Along our way, we will enjoy a visit to a Navajo Trading Post and explore the Navajo culture and their intricate crafts.
3
Lower Antelope Canyon
Upon arrival to Page, Arizona, we will begin our tour of spectacular Lower Antelope Canyon. Here we will tour Lower Antelope Canyon with a local Navajo guide who will lead you through the amazing natural formations of this world-famous slot canyon. The photo opportunities will be second to none! This tour requires steady footing, balance, agility and grip. Walking in loose sand and navigating stairs and ladders is required.
4
Horseshoe Bend
After our time in Antelope Canyon and Page, we will embark upon a scenic one-mile walk to Horseshoe Bend Overlook which is highlighted by awe-inspiring views into this deeply carved channel and the Colorado River below. Photos from the edge of this natural beauty are widespread across the world and are nothing short of amazing. This requires a 1.5 mile round trip easy walk on a hardened path with no shade.

From booking to follow up to pick up to drop off the experience with detours was phenomenal! Rachel was so accommodating, respectful, and professional when handling my group and our booking. Our driver was John and he was the absolute best. He was sweet, kind, respectful, professional, informative, and fun. Me and my friends booked this tour during a five day girls trip and this excursion was definitely the highlight. Detours is one of a kind company that I would recommend to anyone who is in the Arizona area! Ask for John as your tour guide!!!!

This tour did not disappoint!!! Mark was an excellent guide who did a great job of orienting us to AZ since this is our first time. We took amazing photos all day and truly enjoyed every minute! I highly recommend Detours America West! Also, the reservation experts were so helpful in making sure to keep us updated on the weather and even changed our date to ensure we would have a wonderful experience!
