We had a family of 6. We booked from a cruise ship. The most expensive of all excursions, but boat was great. Driver that picked us up was nice and knowledgeable. Naturalist that was on board, Meghan was knowledgeable and was great. The captain, Taylor, however, was awful. Hardly said a word, did not engage with us at all and was on her phone most of the time. She couldn’t have cared less if we saw whales or not. We did see some whales, but we were VERY far away. We didn’t move from one area. She was very uninterested. When you pay $2700 for 2.5 hours, I guess we expected more. Meghan was great, very helpful, very personable and loves whales. Also, we came back to the dock 20 minutes early. When you’re paying $2700 for an excursion, we wanted to be watching whales every minute we could. We got back early (10:10) , we had to wait another 30 minutes (10:45) for the driver to pick us up. So actually out of a 4 hour excursion, you only get 2.5 hours on the boat, and only 2 hours out of that watching the whales. After reading other reviews, apparently most excursions from this company are great. But the crew can make it break it. Our captain was not in the league as the other captains. So if you book this, make sure your get one of the other ones that were mentioned.

Best excursion with carnival to date. The bus that picked us up from the pier and the yacht were very clean and welcoming. The staff Andy, Lilli and Capt. Ben did everything to show us the whales. We managed to see a whale breach about 4 times. I highly recommend that you pick them to get you out to see whales in style.
