I’m going to start by saying we had an AMAZING time! We wanted a private whale watching experience with our family, with just the 7 of us (Grandparents, kids, and grandkids) and the super awesome lady at our hotel hooked us up, kudos to her. We were met by Steve at our hotel the Four Points by Sheraton, and he was beyond pleasant all the way to the docks where we were met by Brent and Katie with super chill vibes and enthusiastic personalities. You could tell it was going to be more than just a whale watching experience. When we saw the boat we were stoked because the Opus was beautiful and the crew made us feel right at home. We set off after a quick safety briefing. They started us off with coffee and Baileys (perfect) and we didn’t have to go far to see our first whale. I should also mention there was barely a breath of wind and 70 degree weather, we opted for an early tour at 9:00 am. We were the only whale watching boat out there so our views were unobstructed and it felt like we owned the waters. Because there was no wind when captain Brent shut the engine off you could hear the whales before you saw them, which made spotting them a breeze. After about an hour we moved onto mimosas, while the guys had beers all while enjoying the salmon and cheese platters. Brent let the youngsters assist him driving while Katie made sure our glasses and snacks were always full. They drove us around to see sea lions and eagles, and for quite a while we were happy just floating around because it was just so beautiful to take in the view and the sounds of Alaska. The entire time there was a whale popping up in one area or another. They reminisced about other customers and clients and how they can customize any trip within reason and it really sounded like the sky is the limit for what they are willing to provide to their customers. We were very impressed. After about 3 hours we headed back towards the docks but not before Brent stopped in a little bay where he dropped a couple crab pots the day before. He had my oldest son (17 yrs) pull it up to see what he caught. It wasn’t what he was hoping for but it was still full of hermit crabs, and a couple other type of crabs, but I can’t remember what they were. He handed a crab off to my husband and we all got a good chuckle out of watching him try to handle it. After that he found a new location for the pots and we went to dock. Katie and Brent were so fun, and they were never short on conversation and jokes. We snapped a couple pictures with them and had Steve drive us back to Four Points. On the way we told Steve that the kids and myself were going to hike the mountain, and we asked him how to get there. He immediately offered to drive us there once we got changed at the hotel, and to me that is amazing customer service. Once we got to the beginning of the trail he hopped out and gave us bug spray and a bunch of advice. You certainly cannot beat that kind of guy. So nice, and genuine, he left a lasting impression on my kids, ages 17, 15, and 12. They fondly talk about him 2 weeks after the trip. Steve definitely created future customers based solely on his genuine caring attitude and love of the outdoors and life. Hats off to this trio on their first year. If they continue this type of service to their customers they will have a long and prosperous business. We will definitely look them up if ever we are in Alaska in the summer or Hawaii in the winter. This got long, sorry, but it all needed to be said. Very satisfied customers from Minnesota:)

First off let me say that Brent and Steve were an amazing crew. They were right on time to pick us up. They found multiple whale watching sites and were knowledgeable about what we were watching even sharing research information on the amazing whales which were a highlight of the trip by the way! The Opus was an amazing vessel! Local Oysters, fresh caught Salmon dip and Mimosas. This trip is well worth it!
