Peter was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the area. Also very accommodating as we had plans change in the last minute and he was able to get us in for a tour when we asked. Highly recommended to take this tour before you make plans around Newport RI. Peter gave great recommendations for places to visit and eat. Thanks for the Brick Alley Pub tip for the best clam chowder around!!

This was a 3 hour private tour of Newport, RI with Peter as the Tour Guide. Peter was genial, accommodating and had great personal knowledge of Newport. He pointed out a number of sights that a tourist would miss otherwise and had many stories to share of the area and the current situation as well as history. There was a lot to cover in 3 hours which was not Peter's fault. It was rushed without much time at any one stop but provided a nice overview of the area. If I was going on this tour a second time I would probably pay for a longer tour and go back to a few of the sights we saw on the first trip. Peter gave us a tip to go to the White Horse Tavern, the oldest tavern in America, for lunch. It was not far from where we needed to catch the tender boat back to our cruise ship and lunch was excellent as well as the opportunity to visit such a historic location.

We arrived by ship and it was questionable if we would be able to dock, we did but I kept texting Peter and he would respond asap, in fact he even made the additional effort to pick us up at St. Mary's Catholic Church as soon as mass was out. There were 6 of us and his van was very comfortable. He took to see all the highlights of Newport and we stopped at several locations and we took as long as we needed to see the sights. Don't stop at Newport without a tour with Peter!
