Private Off Road Adventure Tours in the Prescott National Forest

Overview
Come see why thousands come to Prescott, and why we loved it so much we made it our permanent home.

Beauty here is hard to describe in words, and pictures have a hard time doing it justice.

On a guided tour you'll see the most scenic points and views of Prescott, and the beauty of the surrounding area.

Ride in the comfort of one of our Hummers as we take off-road trails and visit sites few have the opportunity to experience.

Ponderosa to Goldwater Lake This route is one of our favorites. It has a good mix of get your heart pumping off-road thrills and some of the most picturesque views you'll find. We keep this trip mostly in the tall pines with lots of steep ascents and descents and a few water crossings. We finish up with a 15 minute break at Goldwater lake for pictures and then return to the Square.

We loved the Sunset & S'mores tour. Tom was a great host, and the campfire setup was excellent. We plan to book a more adventurous tour in the future!

We took the Ponderosa to Goldwater Lake tour with Tom Wendorf on Feb. 19. It was a splendid adventure! It was just scary enough while being ultimately comfortable. Tom was kind enough to pick us up at our B&B, which saved us the hassle of parking downtown. His vehicle is an immaculate Hummer that can do wonders climbing and descending rocky dirt trails that one thinks might wreck the vehicle. We drove through a lovely forest setting, saw an area covered with huge boulders, and then spent some time at Goldwater Lake, where Tom encouraged us to take a short walk around part of the lake. He brought water and snacks. Tom's knowledge of the area is vast, and he shared it with us in a pleasant, humorous way. If you ask, and maybe even if you don't, you'll learn where the name Angry Ape comes from! All in all, it was an exciting, educational, and pleasant adventure. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a sane, yet exciting, off-road experience!
