Charleston Harbor Tour (3 Hours)
A Charleston native with intimate knowledge of the city. I have been a professional fashion photographer for over thirty years and have made my living in New York City. I have been sailing for over fifteen years and have traveled throughout the Caribbean, Bahamas and up and down the East Coast on my sailboat Alliance. My husband Mark has been sailing for twenty years and a professional sailor for over ten. Captain Mark Stetler has sailed the East Coast from Maine to Florida as well as the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico and Cuba. Mark’s licenses include 100 Ton USCG Masters and he has served honorably in the United States Navy. His recent trips were the single-handed sailing of Alliance to the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas and a trip to Key West, Florida for The Conch Republic Cup Regatta.

I have enjoyed touring the harbor on Alliance three times and enjoyed every moment. Captain Mark and crew are very knowledgeable and point out interesting landmarks, a bit of history, and other information. One gets an overview of islands, rookeries and wildlife, the Ravenel Bridge, and the Battery. We sometimes view other boats and give them a friendly wave. Below is a cozy cabin area. As our sailing tour winds down, we have an excellent view of a beautiful sunset. If you’re in the Charleston area, this is a great one to put on your list of things to do.

This was the second sunset cruise we’ve booked on the Alliance. It’s a beautiful boat. The captain recently sailed it to the Bahamas and formerly participated in offshore races. They only book 6 guests at a time so you don’t feel like you’re on a big cattle boat! They recently bought new sails and remodeled the cabin. The Charleston harbor is spectacular at sunset. The boat is docked at the Patriots Point Marina so the location is convenient and easy to find. My husband and I plan on going again!

Captain Mark and Caroline are amazing. We enjoyed their energy and knowledge. Mark shared stories and history along the way which made an already magical sail even more interesting. We shared stories and laughter and made memories for a lifetime. I will go again and again. The sunset was beautiful and company could not be better.
