On a recent mother/daughter trip, we booked an Earth Wisdom jeep tour. Our guide, Tara, was informative and went above and beyond during our tour. it was a wonderful experience - not commercial. I would highly recommend the experience, especially if you are a first time visitor to the Sedona area.

I've been on several jeep tours in Sedona, but this one was special. My family and I used a Groupon, so it was nearly half off the regular price. JP is from Texas (like me!) but has lived in Sedona a long time and knows a lot about the geology, plants, and animals in the area. He also gave us some good tips about hiking in the area. We didn't go to the "standard" vortex areas, which can get pretty crowded. Instead, JP took us to some beautiful locations where we could actually hear the silence and appreciate the views. It was a wonderful way to experience the uniqueness of Sedona.

We went with guide, Larry Sprague. Last year we did this vortex tour with Earth Wisdom and Scott(I forgot his last name) was our guide. They were both great. If you are interested in vortexes and the spiritual aspects of Sedona, you will really enjoy this tour. If you are interested in getting a tour of celebrity residences or seriously challenging 4WD drive roads, chose a different tour. I think this explains the widely divergent reviews of this tour. Larry brought his flute and played at one of the medicine wheels. I will probably take this tour again when I return to Sedona next year.
