From the moment you make your reservation with Pat you know you are dealing with a wonderful company run by geniune, thoughtful people. Our first reservation ended up postponed by mutual agreement because of harsh weather, but they managed to get us rescheduled right away for the next day and we were SO glad we did. We did the medicine wheel/vortex tour and were very lucky to get Larry S. as our tourguide. Larry is a hoot - part philosopher, part historian, and part spiritual leader. His quick wit and easy smile balance out the true spiritual wisdom he shares as he takes you on a journey through places he clearly knows and loves well. Because we were staying at the Alma de Sedona Inn, the first stop of the tour was actually there at the hotel grounds where we performed a medicine wheel ceremony while getting an education on the history and purpose of the ceremony (all of it peppered by his great sense of humor and easy-going demeanor). From there we toured vortexes (vortices?) and were introduced to geology, plantlife, history, and fun anectodes all along the way. I highly recommend this tour as an excellent introduction to the Sedona vortexes and a nice introduction to some of Sedona's history.

This included two vortex site visits and the medicine wheel. It was my husband, two boys (ages 12 and 9) and myself. Our tour guide was Blair and he has lived in Sedona for 17+ years. He had great knowledge of the area and gave us many insider tips (like where to see the sunset without crowds etc). We are not into the New Age stuff, but we did the tour and it was quite amazing. It was also cool to see the kids actually get into the experiencing some of the things you can 'feel' during the meditation part (or day dreaming part for the men). We took this tour almost immediately upon getting to Sedona. It was great to get the lay out of the city and the tips for the rest of our visit. We indeed used the tips for the rest of our trip. Thanks!

We went on the Scenic Vortex tour and really enjoyed it so decided to return a few weeks later and take another tour...the Sacred Wheel tour. Although it was enjoyable it turned out to be almost the exact same tour as the first one with the just the sacred wheel ceremony added. We went to the same vortex and heard the exact same commentary so....my advice is to do the Sacred Wheel if you're interested in that or if not, just do the vortex tour but sort of a waste of money to do both.
