We signed our 12 year old up for a lesson with Learn To Surf and are so glad we did. Jason was friendly and professional and fit us in on a day's notice. Jason met us at Newport Coast beach and introduced us to extremely qualified and experienced surfing instructor. The lesson was private, and cost included wet suit, board, and anything we needed. The instructor had our daughter catching waves and standing up within the 2 hour lesson, and she LOVED it. The instructor was kind, hardworking and outstanding. Jason met us again at the end of the lesson. Would book with them again in an instant. Wish we had found them before our last day of vacation.

I came out on vacation with a best friend, we were looking for something different to do that our own state does not really offer. I found learn to surf and called Jason to speak about the pricing. He was extremely sweet and very knowledgeable. When I hung up the phone I told my best friend that I wanted to go to him for our surfing lessons. So I called him back and we booked our surfing. When we got there, he was as pleasant as he was on the phone, and very outgoing. We were nervous at first, but he was very reassuring that nothing would happen. I'm rating them 5 stars because they deserve it. We felt very comfortable with Jason, and very safe. And the surfing lessons were very fun, and I feel like we learned a lot in the time that we had. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody that is curious about surfing. If you have any questions I definitely recommend calling them. It can be scary trying something new, but everything was amazing and learn to surf is definitely worth the money and time! :)

I was just a girl looking for something fun to do at the beach other than perfecting my tan…Then it hit me…I’ll learn to surf!!! When I told my friends of my new project, they suspected that I might have been suffering from Heat Stroke… …”you are not a strong swimmer”… …”you’re afraid of the water”… …”I know you’re stupid; but this is crazy!”… Undeterred by the critics, I pressed forward. A google search for surf instructors delivered the names of Dan, Jason, and Graham. I decided to take the plunge and take up surfing under the tutelage of Dan, Jason, and Graham soon to be known to me collectively as the “Surf Studs”… Now my friends were right about a few things, I am not a strong swimmer and I was a little afraid…The “Studs” quickly picked up on my trepidation and showed great patience, understanding, and compassion, Dan is even a trained lifeguard! My fears of death by surfing sank to the ocean floor LOL Eventually, due to the skill and care of the “studs” I was able to stand up on my board…Catch a wave…and bring it to the shore… So if you’re like me, looking for something to heighten your beach experience, consider surfing, and consider Dan, Jason, and Graham, “The Surf Studs”! They will treat you right and teach you right! If you want proof about the “Studs”, go to the beach and look for the girl with the perfect tan riding the waves…and I’ll tell you more.
