I participated in a guided tour put on by USA Guided Tours. Our tour guide Joey was a fountain of information and I feel like I came away from George Washington's Home with so many facts that I had never heard. We spent 4 full hours on the estate and could have stayed longer. The museum at the end was terrific and included a 22 minute video on early military actions when we chose to be independent. Be prepared to walk, a lot...on uneven paths, including dirt and cobble stones and to walk up and down steep hills so you can pay respect to George & Martha Washington and the enslaved cemetary. You will also climb and descent a number of stairs. The estate looks out over the Potomic and is just a beautiful property. A must see!

This is a tour everyone should take to learn more about George Washington and life back in the day. This place is rich in history. The guides offer information that a lot of us didn't know or were never told and never thought to look up. Definitely spend the whole day there and preplan a little about how you want to spend your time and where you want to go while there. You can even get lunch on the premises.

My family visited this place in this summer. we learn a lot of history and know what a great man George Washington is. He is the first president of USA with high moral standard. We purchased a voice guid and visited the place by ourselves. I think it is a good education to my two daughters and myself. ( 21 years and 16 years old). It will take a whole day if you really study and read all materials.
