My sister and I took the private Gilded Age tour. We met at the Plaza Hotel and walked along 5th Avenue on Manhattan’s upper east side stopping along the way to view a multitude of stunningly beautiful mansions built in the late 1800s. Our guide did a great job of explaining where the Gilded Age period fit in with New York’s rich 400-year history. Our guide’s knowledge was extensive, and he had a talent for storytelling. His passion for history really shined through! We plan to take another tour in Aug when we are back in New York. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
