What a special experience my 13 year old daughter and I had when we stumbled upon the house tour on the web. The. Armour-Stiner Octagon house is exquisitely restored, a feast for the eyes. We were fascinated by the period furniture, light fixtures, murals, the sideboard in the dining room and the triangle rooms, to name a few features. We learned why one would need a copper sink and admired the beauty of the forerunner of the file cabinet. Sarah, our tour guide was well informed and we found her passion for the house infectious. My daughterās favorite room was the Ancient Egyptian styled āfamily room.ā What a rich cultural treasure. If you live in Westchester, you have no excuse. It is a must see.
