Lamar Valley

This tour is customizable! During the winter months this tour will only cover the Northern Range of Yellowstone National Park. The Northern range is a wonderful place to view wildlife such as Wolves, Bison, Foxes, Coyotes, Deer, Elk, Otters, Eagles, and much more! During the summer the Northern Range is a wonderful place to see all the animals listed above with the addition of Grizzly and Black Bears!

Since the North Entrance to Yellowstone is closed, it was suggested that we consider a day tour with a guide. Yellowstone Journeys was the first recommendation. It was indeed the best money spent on our trip to Yellowstone. Nolan is very knowledgeable about the Park, ecosystem, and animals. He is personable and made the day fun and educational. At the end of the day we felt like we had covered a large part of the sights we wanted to see. Price for 4 was reasonable when split between two couples compared to other tours. However, even if a one family trip, Yellowstone Journeys is the way to go. Snacks, beverages, lunch are included. Bring your camera, comfortable shoes, and sense of adventure. Thank you Yellowstone Journeys for a great day in Yellowstone!

We chose to keep our reservations in Gardiner, Montana. Man am I glad we did! We took a Wildlife Journey with Yellowstone Adventures. Taking a guided tour gave us un-crowded access to the park for most of the journey. We saw: 1. A Grizzly bear 2. Bison (of course,) 3. Elk (of course) 4. Bighorn sheep 5. Mule deer 6. Pack of wild Wolves 7. Coyote 8. Yellow bellied Marmot 9. Uintah ground squirrels 10. Pelicans 11. Canadian Geese 12. Pronghorn 13. Black Bears (Cinnamon and black) Our guide Nolan knew his history, knew his science and was willing to explain when asked alot of questions (we have 3 boys). He knows all the spots that are the best to see bears. We saw 4 waterfalls and he was able to time the trip so 3 of the 4 had rainbows in our pictures. They fed us lunch, provided snacks and made the trip totally a life memorable experience. It is a family owned company, and now more than ever Gardiner needs tourism. I highly recommend staying in Gardiner and using Yellowstone adventures to give you a once in a lifetime tour since only the guides can access the Gardiner access at this time. Well worth the money and memories were made forever!!!!
