What To Expect

Yellowstone National Park

Departing Jackson Hole, WY we will drive north through Grand Teton National Park and explore the lower loop of Yellowstone. See park highlights based on guests' interests. Options include: Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Overlook, Yellowstone Falls and other amazing highlights of the lower loop.

As a professional travel advisor, I love to experience guided tours anywhere I go to ensure that I'm offering the very best trip advice and tours to my clients. After my family took a day excursion with Aaron, I can confidently say that seeing the Yellowstone/Grand Teton area with Teton Excursions is the BEST way to experience the parks! Aaron is not only super personable, he is also extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the area - the history, the wildlife, the plants, and how to make the best use of your time during the day. He knows all of the details that will make your trip far more comfortable than if you were doing everything on your own. He knows shortcuts, how to avoid lines, when the best time is to experience a certain area, and where the best bathrooms are! We saw far, FAR more of Yellowstone traveling with Aaron than we ever would have on our own. And a huge benefit of taking a day excursion with Aaron is the simple fact that you don't have to worry about the logistics of anything. You can simply sit back, relax, and enjoy the stunningly beautiful views of Yellowstone and Grand Teton. Aaron is very obviously not just another tour operator - our day spent with him showed us how much he loves the parks and how he is concerned with keeping them environmentally clean. A couple of moments that stood out to me were 1) when he went out of his way to thank a park worker who was picking up trash, and 2) when he went above and beyond to retrieve a mask that had blown away from a park visitor (the mask otherwise would have become litter in the park.) Finally, Aaron is very laid back but also professional and concerned with making the best use of your time in the park, so our day was a perfect blend of stress-free sightseeing combined with the steady guidance of a professional guide who kept us on a solid schedule, ensuring the opportunity to see everything we wanted to see.

Aaron was an awesome guide! He took us to all of the highlights of Yellowstone and knew where the best places to see each of them was. He was super informative and was able to keep two teenagers engaged and interested for 12 hours (nearly impossible). His enthusiasm was appreciated and he never tired of our many questions. I would highly recommend Teton Excursions if you want to experience the best of Tetons and Yellowstone. A++ experience!!!

Teton Excursions is awesome and Aaron is a rockstar. From the moment Aaron picked us up in South Dakota to the final drop off in Jackson he set the tone for the entire family trip. His ability to map out the path through the mountains (which allowed for an impromptu July snowball fight), the day spent in Cody with all it has to offer (rodeo included), the end to end tour of Yellowstone, and the highlights of the Grand Tetons was perfect. We were able to hit the wild life and geyser fields early in the morning to see them at their most spectacular and hit the paint pots, Grand prismatic, and the other volcanic parts of the park in the afternoons was key to making the most of the 4 days in the park. Aaron was fully equipped with binoculars, scopes with iPhone attachments, and infrared thermometer gun enhanced all the experiences and made them true family experiences for all (13yr old, 11 yr old, 10yr old, and 7yr old) to enjoy. Aaron also kept the family safe when we had very close and intimate (PBS like) experiences with the bears, bison, elk, moose, and coyotes. The picnic lunches were catered to the pallets of all my children as well as myself and my wife. Each night the vehicle was cleaned thoroughly and Aaron had hand sanitizers and new masks readily available the entire trip. I highly recommend anyone wanting to visit and experience the Yellowtstone/Teton area to use Teton Excursions.
