What To Expect

Yellowstone National Park

Departing Jackson Hole, WY we will drive north through Grand Teton National Park and explore the lower loop of Yellowstone. See park highlights based on guests' interests. Options include: Old Faithful, Grand Prismatic Overlook, Yellowstone Falls and other amazing highlights of the lower loop.

We cannot recommend Aaron enough. Today 8 of us experienced Yellowstone for the first time. His tremendous knowledge and great sense of humor made our time so enjoyable. The lunch was fantastic. At all times, he was attentive and positive with all of our diverse group, including my 88 year old mother-in-law. He seemed like an old friend we just ran into. If your smart and want have a great trip, call Aaron. We certainly will next time! Thank you Aaron!

Aaron was an AMAZING tour guide. What has been said in other reviews is also true for us - he was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and entertaining. A true pleasure to spend 2 full days with (Day 1 - Grand Teton national park, incl. an amazing reflection lake, signal peak, tons of overlooks of the spectacular Teton range, etc; Day 2 - Yellowstone Park, and all of the amazing geothermal features, canyons, waterfalls, and valleys. And across both, tons and tons of wildlife - we saw a trio of grizzlies chase down a herd of elk, pronghorn antelopes gallop alongside the car, bison roll around in the dirt for relief from the heat, and tons of beautiful birds). While the Tetons and Yellowstone are spectacular in their own right, Aaron truly made the experience memorable through his attention to detail (prompt arrival and drop off), his thoughtfulness (amazing packed lunch and riverside picnic), and his good humor all around. Most importantly to our family during these uncertain times (we traveled to Jackson during the July 4th weekend as COVID cases were rapidly accelerating throughout much of the US, with moderate growth in WY and ID), Aaron went out of his way to demonstrate his appreciation of COVID guidelines, his safety protocols (extensive cleaning of the van, hand sanitizers throughout the car), and his diligence in wearing his mask the ENTIRE time. There are many unknowns when traveling, more so during a pandemic, but Aaron approaches our excursion with a positive attitude and an appreciation for our safety and comfort. Bravo and can’t wait for the next excursion!!

Our family had an amazing time on this tour. I’m traveling with 6 kids aged 7 through 17 and I thought about just trying to do Yellowstone on my own, but I’m so glad I didn’t. This is my first time at Yellowstone and I’m not familiar with the area and Aaron took away all the stress and logistical challenges I would have had to deal with on my own. He picked us up right on time from our rental in Teton Village and showed us many of the highlights as well as some unique things we never would have found on our own. In addition to things like the Grand Prismatic Spring, Old Faithful, and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, we saw some cool and unusual geothermal features, a group of Harlequin ducks hanging out on the rapids, and so much wildlife! We saw elk, bison, pronghorn, bears, Harequin ducks, Steller’s jay, and osprey. Lunch and snacks were great. Aaron kept everyone’s attention. When we got back, our 4th grader called his dad who couldn’t join us on this trip and just went on and on about all the things he learned. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Aaron!
