Private Yellowstone Tour: ICONIC Sites, Wildlife, Family Friendly Hikes + lunch

Overview
The park is empty since the flooding! The flooding caused zero changes to the tours that we have always operated! We will see all of the parks highlights and Iconic sites plus hidden areas! Seize the moment and come to Yellowstone during an all time low in tourism!

Our private tours are led by professional guides who have a formal education in wildlife biology. We will tour the park in modern chevy suburbans. We will see wildlife while visiting the most ICONIC destinations as well as hidden locations. During our day we will see Old Faithful, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Yellowstone Falls (308'), wildlife, large waterfalls, hidden geysers, and historic hotels. We will provide high end binoculars and spotting scopes for the entire group! It is our goal to educate your family on the science of the park and have them experience the wonder of hidden Yellowstone on each and every tour.

For lunch we will stop for an incredibly scenic picnic style lunch along the shore of Yellowstone Lake!

The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is the most breathtaking sight inside Yellowstone National Park. Twenty miles long, the canyon is up to 4,000-feet wide and 1,200-feet deep in places. It's located on the eastern side of the park. From several vantage points, you can view Lower Falls plunging steeply into the canyon 308 feet, or the Upper Falls tumbling 109 feet.

Firehole Canyon Drive
Beautiful 40 foot waterfall at confluence of ancient rhyolite lava flows.
12
Firehole Lake Drive
Beautiful geysers and hot springs as well as the possibility of grazing bison!

Fountain Paint Pot
Along this short walk you will see very good examples of most types of thermal features found in Yellowstone. These features include some very pretty hot pools, steaming fumaroles, erupting geysers and probably the best easily accessed mudpots in the park. The area is highly active and at least one geyser is usually erupting here at all times.

Where do I even start?!?! We did the 2 day deep dive tour of Yellowstone with Derek last week and it was incredible! Our group was 6 adults and 8 kids, all first time visitors to the park. Communication was great, Derek is always quick to respond to email while planning what we wanted to do. He got us there early to beat the crowd, and we saw pretty much everything in two days. Derek kept us out of the over crowded areas and instead took us to things in the park that your average tourist wouldnā€™t know about. We never wasted any time in a crowd and saw too many great sights to mention. He brought a picnic lunch both days that everyone enjoyed, not just the food but he even picks out perfect spots with great views. We would never have been able to do the park without him. It is worth every penny. Plus Derek is a great guide to spend a couple of days with. His knowledge of the park is incredible and everyone truly enjoyed his company. This is your best bet for an amazing couple of days at Yellowstone! You will not be disappointed!

Derek was extremely professional and helpful during the booking process and the two days in the park were awesome. There is no way we could have seen as much or learned as much about Yellowstone on our own. He had it all handled from picnic lunches, clean restroom breaks to excellent animal sightings.

We had a spectacular day with Derek of Yellowstone Adventure Tours! Derek is extremely knowledgeable about all of the wildlife, geology, plants and Yellowstone NP history. His tour gave us a much more in-depth understanding and appreciation of everything we saw. He also made the day adventurous and fun by taking us off the beaten path. (Be preparedā€¦ he might spring a trivia question on you at any moment šŸ˜‰). We saw all of the main attractions, but got away from the crowds too. He tailored our hikes to fit our groups interests. There are certainly no guarantees on spotting wildlife, but Derek knew the best places to look. We saw a ton of Elk, bison, a mamma grizzly with 3 cubs, another grizzly feasting on the remains of a deceased bison, ravens, long horned sheep and the elusive harlequin duck! Our group had a second car following Derekā€™s vehicle and he did a great job of keeping the people in that car feeling included and engaged through a walkie-talkie. I absolutely recommend Yellowstone Adventure Tours and Derek for anyone making a visit to Yellowstone NP. Our day with Derek was the highlight of our two week trip!
