Privately Guided Half Day Hike

Overview

Whether you want to see waterfalls, wildflowers, enjoy a quiet walk on a forested path, or climb a 6,000 foot peak, we will customize these trips based on your desired distance, difficulty, and destination. After booking, our office will contact you to discuss your preferences.

Hike will meet our office in downtown Asheville at 8:30am, and will last approximately 4-5 hours including transportation time. Snacks are included, but transportation is not. Transportation between Asheville and the trailhead (including hotel pickup) can be added for an additional fee. Your guide can provide trekking poles upon request at no additional charge.

We hike rain or shine! Hikers should arrive prepared for all weather conditions and pack a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water. We may cancel or reschedule your hike in the event of severe or dangerous weather conditions.

See beautiful scenery in Pisgah National Forest during your hike! Hikes may feature mountaintop views, creekside walking, historic landmarks, and seasonal wildflowers.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

The friendly guides provided a relaxed environment and interesting tidbits of information as our very large group made the easy downhill hike to see the three waterfalls. Shuttle from Asheville, with boxed lunch.

We enjoyed our day with our guide, Emma. She has a ton of experience trekking across the globe, was extremely friendly, and brought great snacks! We did a hike in Dupont State Forest at Triple Falls and Hooker Falls. The views were nice, but we should have requested something more at the peak of a mountain for better vistas (we'll know for next time).

I was looking for a half day hike when in Asheville recently. I found Blue Ridge Hiking and am so glad I did! The reservation process was very easy and they answered all my questions over the phone. There was very good communication up until the date of the hike. When I arrived, we all decided on the level of the hike; Christine was extremely informed and knew exactly where to go, how long it would take, and even how much it might rain at the different locations. Everything was great--the company, the hike, and all the workout. I hope to hook up again with them when I am back in the area.
