Privately Guided Half Day Hike

Overview

Whether you want to see waterfalls, wildflowers, enjoy a quiet walk on a forested path, or climb a 6,000 foot peak, we will customize these trips based on your desired distance, difficulty, and destination. After booking, our office will contact you to discuss your preferences.

Hike will meet our office in downtown Asheville at 8:30am, and will last approximately 4-5 hours including transportation time. Snacks are included, but transportation is not. Transportation between Asheville and the trailhead (including hotel pickup) can be added for an additional fee. Your guide can provide trekking poles upon request at no additional charge.

We hike rain or shine! Hikers should arrive prepared for all weather conditions and pack a rain jacket, an extra warm layer, and water. We may cancel or reschedule your hike in the event of severe or dangerous weather conditions.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

We hiked up and across multiple peaks, sat by waterfalls and stood atop the most breathtaking lookouts. We only encountered a single other hiker, so the mountains felt like our private landscape - our guide Paul knew what areas to avoid and kept us informed about the plants, animals and trail conditions. Blue Ridge Hiking was a great experience. Easy to book and very helpful. Value for the cost. My husband and I had a great time. Our guide Jenna picked us up at our AirBnB in downtown. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the hike and area. Her snacks were an added bonus with Asheville Pretzels. Jenna made the hike very enjoyable. I would highly recommend to tourists and locals for a beautiful hike to see three amazing water falls. We will be back to Asheville soon to take another Hike with Blue Ridge and Jenna. Bev MacDowell took us on a waterfall viewing hike this morning and it was absolutely fantastic in many many ways! She is a very knowledgeable and kind human that was very attentive the entire time to our hiking needs and she was very well prepared with water, snacks and walking sticks (which we didn’t even know we needed until we did). Bev catered to our every need and we had some wonderful conversations along the trails together. We highly recommend Bev and will be looking her up for our next trip back to Asheville to do more hikes with more family with more Bev! Awesome day !!!
