What To Expect
1
Salt Pond Visitor Center
A little farther on, we'll arrive at the Salt Pond Visitor Center. This miniature museum is the perfect opportunity to catch up on some extra Cape history, use the bathroom, or just stretch your legs.
2
Nauset Light Beach
As we continue our drive up the Cape, we'll spot the Nauset Light, the quaint little lighthouse that features in every quintessential Cape Cod photograph. We'll also learn about its importance, and how the Cape's rough waters earned the nickname of "ocean graveyard" before the lighthouse was built.
3
Marconi Wireless Station
As we continue driving, we'll pass Marconi Station, the first radio station to ever send a wireless message across the Atlantic! The station also played a pivotal role in an infamous oceanic tragedy: the sinking of the Titanic in 1912. Learn how a radio station hundreds of miles away saved lives on that fateful day!
4
Provincetown
Provincetown is at the northern tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The seaside town is on the site of the Mayflower’s landing in 1620, commemorated by the towering Pilgrim Monument and neighboring Provincetown Museum. P-town is known as a longtime haven for artists, lesbians and gay men.
5
Herring Cove Beach
Herring Cove is unique from the other beaches you've seen so far. It's not located on the turgid ocean, but on the insulated bay. The relative calm makes this a great location for swimming without worrying about the undertow. The placid waves are also peaceful for painters, beachcombers, and sunbathers.
6
Race Point Lighthouse
Race Point Light is a historic lighthouse on Cape Cod, in Provincetown, Massachusetts; it is on the National Register of Historic Places. The original tower, first illuminated in 1816, was replaced in 1876 with the current 45-foot tall iron-plated tower and a new keeper's dwelling.
7
Beech Forest
Provincetown isn't all beaches… there's also beech TREES. If you aren't already tired from the day's adventures, you might consider checking out Beech Forest Hiking Trail. The one-mile loop takes you around Blackwater Pond. With its combination of fresh water and trees, this is one of Provincetown's premiere birdwatching locations. Springtime visitors will undoubtedly see a ton of nesting birds in the treetops.

Things were not as expected. We ended up traveling by 6a instead of 6 so for the first part of the trip did not use. I used at later sites but things were closed or not there anymore such as Wydah Museum in Provincetown. Even though things such as beaches were supposed to be open restrooms were closed often.

This doesn’t appear to be a review for our tour. The Wydah Museum isn’t a part of our tour and we don’t control beach restrooms.

This was a great tool to visit many spots on the Cape. If you don’t start from beginning, pre-recorded directions can get confusing as the navigation wants to take you back to start. However, if you follow the blue dot of where you actually are in real time on the map, you can figure it out (I was the co-pilot). Might be harder to do if your solo. The tour have interesting info and showed us great sites! Get started early if you want to hit all the spots- we did not and it was still worth the buy!

We knew very little about Cape Cod history and enjoyed learning about it without being overwhelmed by TMI (too much information). The downside is that we were in Provincetown and had to drive all the way back to start. It would be great if we could have taken the tour in the opposite direction!
