Public Guided Snorkel Tour of Fort Lauderdale Reefs

Overview
Join us for a unique exploration of Fort Lauderdale’s beautiful coral reefs, home to over 500 different species of fish. With the reef so close, we don’t need a boat! The incredible reef we explore is only 400 feet from the shoreline which is where we launch. After a short swim, you will be face to face with many tropical species such as Angelfish, Butterfly fish, Tangs, and other reef life! Fort Lauderdale's reefs won't be here forever so make sure you see them before they are gone!

Very sweet guides. Simple, easy and not too time consuming. Quick instructions and into the water. We really liked it.

This was described as a beginning level for snorkeling, but as an experienced snorkeler I would say it is definitely not for beginners!! It was physically challenging b/c of a strong current moving you towards a pier. The pier was at least 3-4 city blocks away from our starting point but we still ended up close to it. We struggled at the end of the tour to get to shore which was very exhausting. I was getting a little nervous myself. Saw a good variety of fish, coral, lobster but need to be an solid intermediate to strong swimmer. Was told this was a pretty good day, good visibility, low waves. Tour guide said that he was surprised current was stronger than usual. Tour guide, John, was very personable. Best to be a strong swimmer in case you get the same current, to avoid a bad situation. Overall good price for tour & equipment use.

Hey Heida, Thank you for the review. I was actually your tour guide that day and remember this tour very well. While our tour is generally considered easy mother nature can quickly change a situation without warning. On your specific day the current doubled while we were in the water. I do apologize for the strenuous swim and recommend to all that they be a strong swimmer whenever entering the open ocean.
