Public Guided Snorkel Tour of Fort Lauderdale Reefs

Overview
Join us for a unique exploration of Fort Lauderdale’s beautiful coral reefs, home to over 500 different species of fish. With the reef so close, we don’t need a boat! The incredible reef we explore is only 400 feet from the shoreline which is where we launch. After a short swim, you will be face to face with many tropical species such as Angelfish, Butterfly fish, Tangs, and other reef life! Fort Lauderdale's reefs won't be here forever so make sure you see them before they are gone!

It was a good experience for the first time going. Only a few things that should have been addressed….wear your Sun shirts and not just a bathing suit top or no shirt for men as the life vest will cause irritation and chaffing. The go pros for videos and pictures were not charged. We went out with a group of 6 and the group of 4 that were together used the one camera that was charged. So my significant other and I were not able to get any pictures from our first time snorkeling. Parking in the area is tough to find, make sure you have the parking app or at least 6 dollars in quarters as it’s $3 an hour to park near by. The goggles on my significant others face kept coming loose and would not stay suctioned to his face, our guide did end up switching goggles with him so he had no issues after that. Our guide Ellie was great, very informative, and knowledgeable on sea life and the reef, she was very attentive to the few issues we had.

Thank you for this review. We completely agree with you about the water shirts, which is why we state it in the pre tour information. Our Guides are suppose to check the charge of the underwater cameras before the tour, and keep them charged. We also have removed a few cameras for repairs during the slow season. Yes parking is $2.50 per hour as stated in the pre tour information. Thank you for the kind words about Ellie, we will pass them on.

I was surprised that we swam from the beach to the reef. Instructor was very knowledgeable! Long beards make snorkeling harder :)
