Led by a renowned Prince impersonator - Jason Tenner or Donelvan Thigpen, Purple Reign has won a variety of acclaim, including Best Tribute Act by the 28th annual Las Vegas Review-Journal poll and Best Impersonator in the paper's 2014 poll, as well as being the first-ever tribute act to appear as a musical guest on the Late Show with David Letterman. My first time in Vegas- never had any interest in sin city. I booked this show because I am a fan and based on the reviews. I was actually disappointed that there was not a full house for this show. I never did see Prince in concert but this has got to be the closest thing to it. So for that- THANK YOU! The costumes and the references to the movie gave it a real feel and the performance was beyond words. Jason Tenner is such a talented performer and he made sure to give props to his entire team who are equally talented musicians and dancers. The entire audience was swaying and clapping--thoroughly enjoying the show. See the movie before you go to refresh your memory-especially if you forgot about Morris Day and Jerome. In fact-just hours before we saw the Michael Jackson One show and this show is the one that stood out! I would call this show a very respectful tribute to Prince. After the show, the entire group is available for photos and since I was fangirling after such an amazing show-I was first in line for mine! If I go back to Vegas- this will be first on my list- worth seeing again--It actually could have been longer! Don't bring kids...this is Prince people.

The show was jaw dropping from beginning to end. Not a show for children. Definitely 18 and up. We enjoyed every second as he played tribute to the legend

As we were looking for a show to book for our Vegas trip, we wanted to see a real concert (not a cirque, or comedy, etc). We love Prince's music, so we chose this. On Ticketmaster we couldn't see the seat map of the concert hall, so we just sorted by "best seat". Ha! We had a table right next to the stage with a cocktail waitress. First class! The performer was funny and flamboyant and really energized the hall. The music and dancing were top notch. We were all on our feet dancing. We will probably see him again on our next trip.
