Overview

We begin the tour by heading upstream from the launch. As we paddle, we will pass by a few freshwater springs, explore a scenic crystal clear creek, and we take time to snorkel/swim around a bit in the Rainbow River. At the creek, you will have the opportunity to wade in the sandy bottom creek and explore sand boils that feed spring water into the river.

ALL KAYAKS ARE TANDEM and have a total maximum weight capacity of 425lbs, no more than 250lbs per seat. WEIGHT LIMITS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED for the safety of guests and equipment.
Weight restrictions strictly enforced for guest safety and equipment integrity.
Guests should be aware of Florida's heat; bring sufficient water and sun protection.
Individuals with blood sugar issues should carry appropriate snacks or glucose supplements.
All participants must have the physical ability to paddle for a minimum of 2 hours.
Keep hydrated throughout the tour; drink water regularly.

What To Expect

KP Hole Park

This is the county owned park that we will begin and end our tour at. You may use the amenities at this park after your tour. They have picnic tables, charcoal grills, and a swim area.

Rainbow River

This 2 hours guided tour takes you along the crystalline waterways of the Rainbow River on our 100% clear paddle boards! We may encounter some of the local wildlife: birds, fish, otters, and more! Our tour will have the ability to hop out and enjoy the water a bit! Our all-clear paddle boards offer a unique experience when viewing the wildlife beneath you! We begin the paddle at KP Hole Park and paddle north until we reach Indian River Creek. This shallow creek is a great spot to hop off and enjoy the water a bit. After stopping at Indian River Creek, we will continue heading upstream towards the Rainbow Springs Headsprings. During this part of the paddle, we have the potential to see a wide variety of wildlife and pass numerous springs on our way to the top of the river. After reaching the Rainbow Springs headsprings, we will start the paddle back downstream.

Absolutely amazing morning. Went in the 9am tour and had the river to ourselves and our guide Allie was awesome and very knowledgeable. The company was amazing, I thought I booked to see manatees and booked the wrong river, they called a few days prior to make sure I didn’t want the other trip they changed it without a problem accommodate the change. 110% recommend the company and trip.

Rainbow springs were awesome! We got to see a bald eagle and swim in warm water in mid December. Aly was great!

Aly with Ecoventure Tour was an amazing guide!! She is very knowledgeable about the history and wildlife of the river. The pictures on the website are a soft touch to the actual beauty of this river!! You won’t regret your decision to do this excursion. It was so relaxing and refreshing! Getting out of your kayak in the designated swimming holes is highly recommended!! We will definitely do this again on our next visit to Florida.
