Rainforest Waterfall Trail and Shuttle Service

Overview
A residential area close to Waikiki and Ala Moana, Manoa Valley is known for its frequent rain showers. The area receives rain almost every day, making rainbows a common sight. The valley and surrounding mountains are filled with hiking trails, of which Manoa Falls is the most popular.

This activity includes a roundtrip shuttle from your Waikiki hotel with a duration of 4 hours (Roundtrip with pickup/drop off). The hike begins over a large footbridge and then crosses a small stream through a grove of Eucalyptus trees. The 0.8 mile trail gradually ascends through a lush rainforest ending at a viewing area set back from the base of the falls. It's a must do attraction!

Read the description for this tour many times and no where did I read that it was a self guided tour. I expected it to be a tour with a tour guide. It is not. You are basically paying for pick-up and drop off from your hotel. We weren't staying in Waikiki so we had to pay for parking in Waikiki to be picked up there. You can drive and park at the visitor center. It is free. It's a rain forest, so expect rain and MUD! We were soaked and so concerned about our shoes and slipping and falling we didn't look up much. It is beautiful vegetation. The poncho is hot so you are wet no matter if you pay $5 for a poncho or not. To enjoy this hike you have to go ready to get wet and muddy. I hope this helps someone else have a great time.

Aloha and thank you for your feedback ! Under our website its stated clearly that this is a self guided tour. The parking costs $5 if you are to drive there and stalls are limited. The hike being muddy is expected due to the jungle atmosphere of it, also stated on our website. We are in Hawaii so you always can expect tropical weather and it being hot if you purchase a poncho. You must have had read the wrong website . Kaimanatours.com, if you like to double check. Mahalo.

Beautiful hike! Very easy btw. I went on the 7am tour and it felt like the perfect time for a hike. Pablo was our driver, he was super nice, gave us insight of the movies that were shot there and played awesome music on the way, coming back he even told us the best local places to eat in the area. I would highly recommend Kaimana Tours!!! Great job guys!

Very nice guide. There was water and insect spray included as well as shuttle service from the hotel and back. During the trip there was a lot of interesting information about Hawaii
