This new venue in Salem, MA is a world class operation. The detail of the exhibits pulled from the ocean off Cape Cod after nearly 300 years will make you marvel at the discoveries that are still illuminating history during the colonial era of New England and the Caribbean. This is a don't miss visit for all ages. I'm so glad we visited.

A wonderful excursion into the life of pirates as well as a deep education on the English and American slave trade. Bill was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. With actual artifacts recovered from the wreck of the Wydah, itā€™s truly an unmatched experience.

Headed to Salem, Massachusetts. Not for witches. For pirates! ā˜ ļø We visited a pirate museum and learned about the Whydah, a commandeered slave ship. Although there were no enslaved Africans on board two crewmen of African descent joined Sam Bellamyā€™s crew as it was the only way to control their destiny. Our tour guide Julianna was knowledgeable and you could tell sheā€™s a pirate enthusiast. She even gave us book recommendations. Yay for democratic piracy! šŸ“ā€ā˜ ļø
