This is such a great museum with a high level of polish and sophistication, mixed with the perfect amount of fun. It kicks off with a theatrical presentation that sets the scene, and then launches you directly into the exhibit, focusing initially on the stark realities of the time and the origin of the vessel, before providing an incredibly detailed view into the life of the Pirates. My kids loved it. We will be back for some of the scheduled programming!

I was very impressed with the exhibit. This was so much more than I thought it would be. Incredibly educational but also fun. Be sure to have a docent take you on the tour. I was amazed at how much I saw and learned.

This was an amazing hidden gem. It’s the story of the Whyduh, a pirate vessel that sank off the coast of Cape Cod and was found and recovered. This was a great interactive museum, especially for kids. The name “Real Pirates” is descriptive but doesn’t grab my attention and we just happened to walk by on our way to some ice cream. They have real exhibits brought up from the ship wreck. Went in on a whim and didn’t regret it!! The guides bring knowledge and excitement to the museum experience. It is a top notch exhibit!
