What To Expect
1
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
There's a reason Red Rocks is considered one of the most beautiful music venues in the country. Bright red sandstone rocks jut out from either side of the stage to create a natural amphitheater, and concert goers are treated to views of downtown Denver and the surrounding foothills. It takes about 30 minutes to get to red rocks. After exploring the area we will go hiking nearby.
2
Mount Falcon Castle Trail
We will drive a few minutes from Red Rocks to begin the hike. On this 7.4 mile trail we will see nice views of red rocks before heading up to the tree line. We will pass a location where a summer White House was proposed but never completed. Then we will go up to the ruins of a mansion that was made by a millionaire John Brisben Walker in 1909, but was struck by lightening and burned down in 1918. The structures is still in place and the views around are beautiful. We will then go up to falcons peak before heading back down the mountain.
