Overview

Travel back in time nearly over 200 million years ago when dinosaurs roamed the great planes of Colorado. Learn all about the ancient dinosaurs and why this area became famous. The world’s first known Stegosaurus and Apatosaurus fossils were found here during the late 19th century which started the “dinosaur rush”.

When visiting you will learn about the history and geology. This Amphitheatre is ranked one of the best in the world, for obvious reasons. When you enter from the top you will be surrounded by two sections of red rocks and an outstanding view of Denver, CO. Here you will get your photos taken with a DSLR camera, which is free for all our guests.

You'll get to stroll back in time through a mine that has been passed down for 4 generations. At the end you will receive an expert lesson in panning for gold and have the chance to test your skills (and keep what you find!) on this tour. We have the insider access from start to finish during this tour.

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

When visiting Red Rocks you will learn about the history and geology. This Amphitheatre is ranked one of the best in the world, for obvious reasons. When you walk in from the top entrance you will be surrounded by two sections of red rocks and an outstanding view of Denver, CO. Here we will take photos of you with a DSLR camera, which is free for all our guests.

Dinosaur Ridge

Phoenix Gold Mine

Travel back in time on this family-friendly adventure to the Phoenix Gold Mine. That has been passed down for 4 generations. The mine is filled with photos, antiques and plenty of history and facts about early life at the mill, particularly during the Gold Rush Era. You'll get an expert lesson in panning for gold and have the chance to test your skills (and keep what you find!) on this tour.

We lucked out and were the only ones on this tour, which is quite rare. Our tour guide, Alli, was incredible! She made sure we felt good on a hike, and was very attentive to our needs, finding shady spots for rest and reminding us to hydrate. She took a lot of pictures for us, stopped and showed us good photo spots. She shared a lot of knowledge and stories and we never felt bored. The mine tour was great too, our tour guide was so full of energy and so entertaining! There was not much driving involved, a lot of foot activity, mild. Overall, we enjoyed the day and felt well taken care of, with plenty of stops, and bathroom breaks, and information, and good laughs. If you have a day, go for it!

I have had many tours and have traveled quite a bit however Tyler gave us the tour of a lifetime he made as so that we felt like family. As well as we were taken care of the whole time. Great adventure and we had perfect weather I will be using Tyler again in the future.

Tyler made this adventure so much fun. Highly recommend if you want to experience an adventurous day full with amazing views! The gold rush part of the tour was fun and interesting! Loved the fact that you are in a small group and you are not rushed form place to place. You can really enjoy every part of the tour.
