What To Expect

American Civil War Museum- Historic Tredegar

We will not go into this museum, but we will go past it and talk about it! It is a fantastic museum for all interested in learning more about the Civil War

Canal Walk

Where Richmond started! We will ride a bit on the Canal Walk over to Brown's Island on our Landmark Segway tours!

Virginia State Capitol

Explore the grounds of the Virginia State Capitol. Here we will talk about George and Martha Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Barbara Johns, and many other Richmond notables!

The staff welcomed us in with bottles of water. They were friendly. Our guide near lots of history of the area. Lots of fun. I’d recommend this tour to others

We love Segway tours & this one was one of the best! We enjoyed our guide, Julie, who kept it all at just the right pace to see things along the way. It was nice to hear of the history & highlights of Richmond! We started along the interesting Canal Walk & it was so beautiful going over to Brown’s Island. We went to a beautiful city overlook view & saw the old bridge supports from when the old bridge was burned during the Civil War in April 1865. It was touching to read the famous quotes on the walkway as we went over the beautiful James River. We enjoyed seeing the statues near the lovely, stately Virginia State Capitol & hearing about Richmond’s notable historic people! We highly recommend this tour!
