We had a great experience from beginning to end on our first electric bike ride. Coker even encouraged us to come into the shop a day ahead to try out the Pedego ebikes and choose the best ones for our tour. The tour was great. Allen Riddick, our tour guide, is actually President of the Aiken County Historical,Society. He introduced us to beautiful Aiken with a brief history of The birth of Aiken, interesting stops along the way, wonderful stories about the rich and famous men and women who lived and loved in Aiken. The Pedego bikes are such fun to ride even for a 77 year old woman.

The e-bikes were a lot of fun, the tour around Aiken was a great way to learn more about the beautiful area, and the guides - ā€œthe Alā€™sā€ - were informative AND kept us safe. A must-do if youā€™re in the area!

I really appreciate that this tour is so inclusive - you can be a bike enthusiast willing to pedal hard, or someone wanting the bike to do the work, or anywhere between. Either way you will find bicycles that are beautiful, well maintained, comfortable, and quite capable of carrying you around the tour. Your guide will share a wealth of material re the entertaining history and layout of this unique town. If you think this is just another southern small town, think again! Does your town have an equestrian neighborhood, polo fields, or streets laid out with parks between the lanes? You will mostly be outdoors - there's just one place to go in: the museum. Also, be prepared for being cooler on a bicycle than you would be if walking. As for the bicycles, the controls are easy to use. I find straight handlebars more comfortable than these backswept bars, but that's a small thing. The bikes take bumps really well and have plenty of power. Tip: Best place to park is at the far end of The Alley away from Laurens St, where there is a good sized parking lot. The tour meets at this entrance, not Laurens St.
