River Fishing and Bear Watching

Overview

This tour is designed for cruise ship passengers who are looking for an Alaskan excursion that is off the beaten path. We’ll depart Icy Strait Point and drive through the Alaska Native Tlingit village of Hoonah before merging onto old logging roads that will take us to a remote river. During the car ride and along the river it is common to spot wildlife- the island has more brown bears per square mile than almost anywhere else on the planet.

I had never fly fished before. Natalie was an awesome teacher! Very patient, genuine & knowledgeable! We had the best time & will definitely go again on our next trip to Alaska!

The most incredible experience! Wearing waiters and bear spray, walking through the brush being led by a guide in front and a guide behind us, down to a crystal clear stream brimming with larger than life salmon. The kids were instantly pulling up gorgeous salmon. The guides were so patient and genuine. They taught the kids to not only fish for salmon but fly fish too. Can’t recommend enough.

IncredibleTrip! Our bear watching and fishing trip was awesome! Natalie has private river access close to the port, so after a short scenic and informative ride to the river, it was fish on! There was 6 of us in our group and we all caught tons of Chum and Silver Salmon. Natalie hooked us up with great spots full of fish, and great tackle to catch them. We did the full day trip, and only wished we could have had more days! Although, our interests were mostly fishing we did get to see a bear as well! Thanks Natalie for a trip of a lifetime
