Dress for the weather. We recommend swim suits, shorts or synthetic clothing. Avoid cotton.
Secure footwear such as sport sandals are ideal. Although we provide river gear free of charge.
Minimum age is 13 years of age (16) during high water.

Royal Gorge Zip Line Tours

Join us on the world-renowned half day Royal Gorge trip. The Royal Gorge Region of Colorado is a rugged wonderland of scenic hills, plunging canyons, and swift moving water. Formed over millions of years as the Arkansas River cut into the rising granite of the Colorado Plateau, the steep canyon is more than 1,200ft deep and, in some locations, less than 50 ft. Wide. The broken, mountainous landscape makes it an ideal location for adventure seekers looking for new ways to challenge themselves in the amazing outdoors. The class III, IV, (V) whitewater of the Royal Gorge features many exciting rapids such as Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer, and the Narrows, just to name a few.

Our raft instructor Cheers was one of the best raft guides I have personally ever had. He was so much fun and kept us laughing the entire time. I really enjoyed the time we spent on the rapids and we got to learn a lot about the scenery. We were on a girls trip and we were very excited for this activity in particular because getting to raft through the rapids is a crazy and amazing time. We loved the full experience, but we were sad that our photos somehow got lost and we weren’t able to capture any of these memories in photographs. We called several times and were told we would get a call back once something was found out, but we never received confirmation on if our photos were completely lost. We were sad about this, but the experience was still amazing.

TIP: When a mask/face covering is required on the bus, take a Ziploc bag to keep it dry while you’re in the raft! I was looking forward for weeks to this to a half-day of rafting with family, and it lived up to my anticipation! The guide, Jared, was fun and conversational while also professional and safety-conscious. And he did a great job engaging the kids (8 and 12) in the raft. I would’ve enjoyed more rigorous rapids, but with kids in the boat, the Bighorn Sheep Canyon section of the river was just right. I can’t comment on the value because we weren’t the ones who paid for the trip. Overall, I left the experience smiling
