Old Sacramento

Old Sacramento is the riverfront historic district, with Gold Rush-era buildings, cobblestone streets, and horse-drawn carriages. It’s home to numerous museums, including the Sacramento History Museum and the state Railroad Museum.

American River

Pass by the American River. This river is a ~30-mile-long river in California that runs from the Sierra Nevada mountain range to its confluence with the Sacramento River in the Sacramento Valley.

The Historic River Cruise was a great way to spend an hour. The boat has 2 levels including a bar. The price was reasonable for a mixed group of nine with a few teenagers.

It was a great way to explore the largest river in California. get there early & jump on the 2nd-floor deck. the refreshing cocktails were fantastic & service was excellent.
