What To Expect
1
St. Augustine
Our exploration begins at Saint Augustine’s traditional gathering place for our meet and greet where your ideas, photographic questions, frustrations, and desires are heard and woven into our time together. Plaza de la Constitution is a square of land bordered by the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine, Trinity Episcopal, and the Government House. The plaza has been a central part of St. Augustine since 1573 when it was first laid out by the Spanish

11 Aviles Street Artists and Craftsmen Guild
Aviles Street in St. Augustine is the oldest street in the nation also St. Augustine's original artist district, dating back to the 1930s the street also boasts some of St. Augustine's oldest historical sites providing a great background for compositional tools such as leading lines, using foreground for depth and trying out new camera angles.
3
Father Miguel O'Reilly House Museum
Built during the first Spanish Period, the Father O'Reilly House Museum is one of the oldest structures in St. Augustine -- and situated in the oldest continuously settled neighborhood. Constructed in 1691, and made of tabby and coquina, the building was purchased by Father Miguel O'Reilly in 1785. Father Miguel, an Irish priest in the service of the Spanish crown, made this house a place of spirituality and education, preserving the old values. Doorways, interesting gates, and narrow streets make for excellent subjects to improve compositional skills and camera functions.

Patricia, a professional photographer, was a warm and wonderful guide and teacher. I enjoyed my time with her and learned a lot about the functions on my smartphone camera. I got tons of amazing images that I can’t wait to share with family and friends! You will see quiet little streets with beautiful courtyards, windows, doorways and architecture with Patricia graciously helping you take the best artistic images possible. Take advantage of this unique opportunity!

Thanks for the recommendation Gaylene, I enjoyed our time together and it was "eye opening" to see things your way. Let's hope we never stop learning. Be sure to look me up next time you're in town.

Patricia Bean was very knowledgeable about the history of Saint Augustine and worked with me on composition, which was extremely helpful in improving my photography skills. Friendly and easy to understand, I would highly recommend her for a photography tour of Saint Augustine.

Patricia is a great teacher! Highly recommend taking her tour whether you’re a tourist or a local. I learned how to use my camera better and basic photography principles. She’s great at tailoring her tours to individual needs, which I appreciated. Her knowledge of the city is almost as deep as her knowledge of photography; so I learned a lot doing a history and photo tour together. I’m looking forward to the release of her book and taking more tours with her in the future 📸
