Saint Petersburg Scenic Segway Tour

Overview

On this one hour Scenic Segway Tour of Downtown St. Petersburg which is located in the Historic District, you will be viewing 5 miles of endless parks and beautiful waterfront for most of this tour. Your guide will be pointing out and explaining all the local flora and fauna as well as some historical facts through your own personal headset receiver. If you are lucky perhaps a dolphin or manatee will be spotted on your tour. You will also be seeing where some wonderful museums, restaurants, bars and shops are located. As well as getting a feel of this vibrant city’s vibe all while riding on a Segway.

You will receive a 20 minute hands on training prior to the tour. Each person will have a Segway i2, headset receiver, bottle of water, helmet and sunscreen provided.

We met Doo at the History museum and she was prepared with the Segways, helmets, headsets, bottled water, and even sunscreen. She taught us how to operate the Segways including get on/off, go forward/backwards, turn right/left, and stop. Doo was very informative, patient, and attentive. We toured the waterfront area from Albert Whitted airport to Old Northeast. We loved having the headsets so Doo could educate us on what we were seeing. It was a beautiful day and we saw a bunch of wildlife (birds, dolphins, manatee, stingray). Doo was exceptional. She always kept our safety in mind throughout the tour and frequently checked in with us. She took a number of pictures of us and made or offered restroom stops. I highly recommend this tour.

Had a great time at Doo’s and I cannot imagine anything better! Doo has made it her business to learn the flora and fauna of St Petersburg. We toured oceanfront, the sunken gardens, and the historic neighborhoods. Doo was personable, informative, and a great teacher. She taught us how to use a segway in minutes and it was sooooo much fun!!! I am 60 so I was a little apprehensive but it is the best way to sightsee. Doo was a great tour guide, she even brought sunscreen and water for us. No wonder Doo’s is so highly rated!

We wanted to try something different when family visited. None of us had ever been on a Segway, but thought it might be fun--as long as it wasn't too difficult to do! That, and we all wanted to know more about St. Petersburg. Louisa did an amazing job quickly teaching us how to maneuver on the Segways. It really isn't difficult at all! And it's a lot of fun! We all were given headsets, so had no trouble hearing everything she had to say. We also all enjoyed learning more about what there is to do in St. Pete. We'll definitely be recommending this tour and trying out some of the others.
