A friend and I took this walking tour on the Thursday before Halloween. We were lucky to have Jeff, the owner, be our guide. Having sort of eavesdropped on a couple of the other tours I am convinced that Jeff is the best in town and without the hokiness that other guides seem to embrace. He managed to condense the complicated story of the witch trials in a nuanced way that left me wanting to learn more.

I loved our tour we took on Halloween with Jeffrey. I discovered Better Than Fiction Salem Walking Tours through Salem The Podcast (which they cohost). I had listened to most of the episodes in preparation for my trip to Salem from California but I still was fascinated to learn even more on this tour. Jeffrey doesnā€™t recite a boring script, he engages with his audience and actually teaches in a highly engaging manner at various historical landmarks across Salem. I highly recommend and I wish I could have done the night tour too.

Fantastic! Our guide was informed and entertaining. Even during a crowded October weekend, we were able to keep up and hear our guide at each of our stops.
