What To Expect

Salem Old Town Hall

A historic building in its own rite, as well as a filming location for the classic Halloween movie, Hocus Pocus. A fitting location for the start of the tour. Note: We'll stop at this location, we don't go inside.

John Ward House

Historic location. 330 years ago this is where the house of Sheriff Corwin, the High Sheriff of Essex county stood. In the scope of the trials he acts as the warrant issuer, interrogator, and torturer, amongst others. Note: We'll stop at this location, we don't go inside.

Salem Witch Trials Memorial

Historic Location. Those who were executed in 1692 were not given any formal burial. this memorial, dedicated in 1993, is what we have today to now pay our respects to those who lost their lives in the Salem Witchcraft Trials. Note: We'll stop at this location, we don't go inside.

We really enjoyed the Which Trial history tour with Jeffrey. It felt authentic. Also seemed very accurate based on reading we did before and after. We later did a spooky nighttime ghost tour with A DIFFERENT tour company (that I later found out was a chain). Long story short, I wish we booked Jeffrey’s Stories of Salem: Dark History and Murder Night Tour instead! Thanks Jeffrey, we’re checking out the podcast.

Our guide was OUTSTANDING! I could tell that he really loves what he does, and if he doesn’t he faked it really well! I enjoyed the history and the stories and learned so much. As someone who has a bachelors degree in history and am a public speaker I really did enjoy the animation and knowledge of our guide! It is totally worth the money! I even told a friend of mine who was bringing their teenager to Salem to take this tour! Really enjoyed it! Thanks!

Lots of great historical context. You could really feel Jeff’s passion for the city and for ensuring we learn from the past. We feel like we got a great opportunity touring with this relatively new company. Highly recommend!
