We've been to Salem before, and decided to take the historic walking tour today in order to learn more about the history of the infamous witch trials. Jeff, our tour guide, was a great storyteller and did an excellent job laying the foundation for the events that took place, culminating in the loss of 20 lives of innocents accused by young women overtaken by the fear, boredom and fanaticism of Puritan life. We stopped at several locations in Salem and Jeff explained the history, with the tour culminating at the witch memorial. Unfortunately there is not much to actually see on the tour -- the buildings are long gone for the most part -- but Jeff's descriptions and historical accounting did a good job of bringing the events to life. Thank you for a fun and informative tour.

We really enjoyed this tour as Jeff presented many interesting historical facts in a fun and interesting manner. His vast knowledge included contemporary stories as well as the earlier times which made Salem famous. Would definitely take another tour.

Excellent stories from the 1692 witch hysteria from a guide who clearly has spent time researching and reflecting on the event's significance. What was really helpful was how Jeffrey related people's fears and motivations from long ago to those we still experience today. The walking is right in downtown Salem and is probably a mile or less. You will do some standing, which is common for any walking tour, so wear comfy shoes. The group was nice and small and it was fun to be able to ask questions. Highly recommend.
