This was by far the best tour we went on while visiting Salem. We started our day with this tour and that was the perfect choice! We decided to add it a bit last minute to get some of the true history before some of our other plans later that day. This gave us some great groundwork as to what was going on and a better understanding of the context of the history here. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and friendly. We only did one tour with this company but this was the best one we selected for our trip. If we could change anything it would be to have booked more tours with this company/guide.

Our tour guide was wonderful! Cannot remember his name but he had red hair and a beard and loved his painted nails. He had an impressive way of stressing the gravity and emotion of the witch trials while also keeping it fun and at times humorous. I learned a ton, even though I have already been on other Salem tours :) Would recommend. The only constructive criticism that I have would be to highlight more of the influence of society structures on the Witch trials ie. racism, slavery, sexism, colonization. I think the tour group did a decent job with language around oppressed groups. However, it could be improved by using the terms "enslaved people", "natives", "colonizers" and emphasizing the dependency of the colonists on native people to survive and the devastation they caused them in turn.
