Join your local guide for a fascinating trip back in history as they share the story of Salem’s founding in 1626 by Puritans whose search for religious freedom ultimately ended in a wave of fear, suspicion, and anger that gripped Salem for one fateful year. Your tour will include stops at some of Salem’s most popular locations, and some secluded off-the-beaten-path locations that very few tourists get to experience. Along the way, your guide, an experienced storyteller, will recount details of the witchcraft hysteria & Salem’s unique dark history.

We are currently trying to get our 150$ refund as our tour guide either A) didn’t show up , or B) gave us the wrong meet up location. When we got there, another large group was waiting, who also was part of our tour group when we asked them. After around 30 minutes and several unanswered calls later, we gave up. I’m now trying to email the host of the tour, who is telling me that they were at the location - and that I won’t get refunded. They also very passive aggressively sent me a screenshot of the time I called (which they never answered to). They are showing unethical business practice and we will be calling Viator. Cheated about 13 people out of a good time and something we were really looking forward to. Don’t make the same mistake we did!

Thanks for the opportunity to clarify a few things to potential future guests! Pro Tip: Notify the tour company as soon as you know you will be late. This guest didn't notify us until 35 minutes after their tour started (the tour had 25 other people on it as guests--it definitely took place, and at the same location all of our tours take place). Had they contacted us earlier, we would have given them parking tips and the first few stops on the tour, ensuring they caught up. But by the time they contacted us, it was too late for them to catch the tour. We generously offered them the seats at the next tour, and they declined. It's all about communication. We can't help if we don't know.

Maria was FANTASTIC! It is apparent immediately that she enjoys sharing the good and explaining the not so good history of Salem. I highly recommend her!!
